Activities - Emma's Childcare

Here's just some of the things that we get up to

During the week we have a varied routine of activities and outings for the little ones, including nature walks, playgrounds, picnics, local toddler groups, libraries, gymnastic groups, forest school groups, visits to other local childminder settings or meet ups with other childminders. We also occasionally visit the beach, local farms, zoos, soft play centres, fairgrounds, musuems, and (when on a 1:1 ratio) swimming. All of these trips and outings are included in your child's daily fee, as are all special events such as toddler group Christmas parties and visits to Santa.

Activities within the setting involve sand, water play, messy play with items such as shaving foam or pasta, adult led and free crafts, painting, drawing, chalk, puzzles, singing and dancing, games, tower building, shape sorting, imaginative play, role play and story times. All of our toys are accessible to the children and they are given plenty of time for free and imaginative play.

Children at my setting form close bonds of friendship and close attachments to me. As well as their physical development and learning their colours and numbers, they learn empathy, kindness, friendship, self confidence, independence and become part of the family.
